The International Association for Near-Death Studies "Do you remember how electrical currents and 'unseen waves' were laughed at? The knowledge about man is still in its infancy" -- Albert Einstein. - This site contends that a near-death experience (NDE) is one of the most powerful emotional and psychological events known. Many people who have had such an experience feel that it was the single-most profound event of their lives. This site is provided as a public service to give reliable information about near-death experiences, along with resources for more information and support.

When the Society for Psychical Research (S.P.R.) was founded in 1882 research into phenomena and experiences suggesting personal survival of man after death took a high priority. The Mummy Page The ancient Egyptians believed in life after death. Contradictions, however, existed side by side in their belief regarding the afterworld. They thought that the dead lived on in the tomb. At the same time they thought of the dead as having gone to a blessed afterworld in some far-distant place. Such inconsistency did not disturb the Egyptians: they provided for both. In no other civilization have such elaborate preparations for the afterlife been made in the preservation of the dead.
The Institute for Afterlife Research This website presents some of the overwhelming evidence for the survival of physical death. This evidence is based on the experiences of thousands (and in some cases, millions) of people from around the world. It is not based on any religious beliefs, dogmas or theories and the site claims to report the facts to the best of their abilities.
