Discount Dental Plan - Dental plan with terms providing discounts when certain requirements of the plan are met. Such as a term requiring annual check-ups and other discount dental plan stuff.

Edentulous - When all the teeth are missing from either the lower or upper arch.

Eligibility - Whether or not a patient is eligible for dental benefits. This is best done before the family dental care treatment begins.

Endodontics - The dental treatment of diseases that affect the root tip or nerve of the tooth. Such as a root canal.

Exclusions - Dental services not covered by a dental policy's terms.

F.D.C. ( Family Dental Care ) - Dental plan with terms designed to meet the dental needs of a family rather then an individual or group.

F.M.X. (Full Mouth X-rays) X-rays showing all the teeth.

Fee Schedule - A set amount paid by the dental insurance company regardless of the doctor's fee.

Fluoride - Topical application of liquid fluoride that prevents tooth decay.

Family Dental Care (F.D.C.) - Dental insurance or a dental plan that provides dental coverage for a family rather then an individual or a group.
