AARP Grief and Loss Programs - Offers a wide range of resources and information on grief and loss issues for bereaved adults. Programming includes: a facilitated bereavement series for groups, informational booklets and brochures, an extensive web site on coping with grief and loss, interactive online support groups and discussion boards, telephone referral services, and public education programs.

Alive Alone - Organization for the education and charitable purposes to benefit bereaved parents, whose only child or all children are deceased, by providing a self-help network and publications to promote communication and healing, to assist in resolving their grief, and a means to reinvest their lives for a positive future.

Before I Die - "Before I Die: Medical Care and Personal Choices" premiered on April 22, 1997. The program explores the medical, ethical, and social issues surrounding end-of-life care in America today. This web companion piece features original reporting.

Compassionate Friends - The largest self-help organization in the world for bereaved parents, siblings, and grandparents. They provide more than 650 local chapters in the U.S. and Canada, with national and regional conferences. TCF offers national and local newsletters, books and tapes, and other related bereavement resources.

Death and Dying - The objective of this site is to provide a means of support and information for anyone who is impacted by the end of a life. The information is presented in an objective manner about all aspects of death including the traditional views on grieving and more contemporary ideas such as NDE's (Near Death Experiences) and euthanasia (assisted suicide). Included are links to other sites that have extensive information for the professional and lay person. Hospice Foundation of America - On this page you can learn about hospice care, how to select a hospice and how to locate a hospice near you. You can learn of their programs, read excerpts from their publications, order their books and videos and sign up for their annual bereavement teleconference. You can even make a donation if you like. They invite you to see their hospice stories page, and send in your own story. They will also point you to other interesting related organizations, and connect you to a support group in your area.

TAG: Teen Age Grief, Inc. - Support and education for young people who are grieving the loss of a loved one by createing and distributeing bereavement guidance programs for children and teens. The "TAG" and "TAG for Kids" curriculums and activity resources are implemented by hundreds of trained leaders and facilitators, locally and internationally, serving groups and individuals, in education, health care, social service, community, law enforcement, mortuary, and spiritual settings.
